You know the drive home we’re talking about

The one where nobody says anything. Your kid stares out the window. Practice got cancelled again. Or worse, it happened: they touched the ball maybe twenty times in an hour while fifteen kids chased one drill run by a volunteer.

You’ve done the math on that drive. A whole season of fees, gear and gas, and they’re the same player they were in September. Meanwhile the spark you used to see in the backyard is quietly moving to the Xbox.

Here’s the truth nobody at the club will tell you: your kid isn’t the problem. They never were.

Why most Calgary kids stop improving by age 10

It’s not talent. It’s math. Games don’t build players, games expose players. Development happens in the reps, and at most clubs the reps aren’t there.

Kids per coach

One ball, one drill, one hour. Your kid waits in line more than they play.

~20

Real touches a session

Nobody develops on twenty touches. Confidence is built on hundreds.

Who's actually coaching

Below the top tiers it's mostly parent volunteers and teenagers, right across the city.

Your kid’s club gives them a team, a league and games. Keep it, that matters. But the club was never built to develop them. That’s the layer we are.

How confidence actually gets built

Confidence isn’t a pre-game speech, it’s evidence. Kids don’t believe words, they believe reps. Our TIPS method builds that evidence in three layers, in this order, on purpose.

1

Technique

Hundreds of touches a session until the ball obeys them under pressure. You can't feel confident with a ball that betrays you.

2

Decision making

Small-sided games that teach them to scan and choose before the ball arrives. A kid who knows what's next doesn't play scared.

3

Mindset

Every mistake gets the same question: what did it teach you? Kids who fear mistakes hide. Kids who use them grow.

Don’t take our word for it. Take theirs.

What your kid gets at CYD

  • Training with a professional coach, every week, all season

Groups capped at 10. Same nights, same place, so it's a routine and not a scramble.

  • A coach who knows your kid's name and their next step

You get told where they are and what we're building, in plain language.

  • Indoor facilities, so a Calgary winter doesn't cancel development

Guardian Angel School in the SW Calgary and Lester B. Pearson High School in the NE Calgary.

  • The free parent guide, What Your Kid's Soccer Club Won't Tell You

The club system, real costs, and the questions to ask any program. Including us.

The trial is free. The price comes after.

No card to book, and nothing to pay on the night. If you want to join, the coach walks you through the season price and payment options right there.

Why we cap every group at 10

Development has a ratio. Past ten players per coach, kids stand in line instead of touching the ball, which is the exact problem you’re leaving behind. So we cap at 10, pay professional coaches, and run fewer, better groups. It’s why our players improve, and it’s why when an age group is full, it’s genuinely full.

Our guarantee

Money-back guarantee after your first session (first-time families)

Come to the first session. If you, the parent, the person who knows your kid best, don’t see it, every dollar back. No forms, no fight, no hard feelings.

The clubs won’t make you that promise. We just did.

Questions every smart parent asks

Is my kid good enough for this?

There's no tryout to join. We coach first-timers and club players in the same building, placed with kids their own age and level. The trial session tells us, and you, exactly where they're starting.

Does this replace their club team?

No, and be suspicious of anyone who says it should. Their club gives them a team, a league, and games. We're the development layer the club can't provide: the reps, the coaching, the confidence. Most of our players do both.

What ages do you take?

Ages 4 to 14+. At the trial, ages 4 to 9 train at 6:00 PM and ages 10+ at 7:00 PM, so nobody is training with kids twice their size.

What does it cost?

The trial costs nothing, and there's no card at booking. If you join afterwards, the coach walks you through the season price and payment options that night, and you're covered by our money-back guarantee after the first session.

Who are the coaches?

Professional coaches, listed by name on this page. Not parent volunteers, not teenagers. Come to the trial and watch them work, that hour will tell you more than any webpage.

What happens at the free trial?

A full session. Your kid trains with the group and you watch from the sideline. Afterwards the coach tells you honestly what they saw, including if we're not the right fit. No pressure and no card.

The next silent car ride doesn’t have to happen

One free session. Real coaches, 10 kids, hundreds of touches. You stand right there and judge for yourself. Then decide.
